Giuseppe is a Partner and CIO of Grove Funds. Prior to taking up this position with Caledon, he led the management team that created Park Place, one of the first hedge fund management companies in London. As Portfolio Manager of Park Place International, Giuseppe was awarded first place in the Hedge Fund Review European Performance Awards 2001 in the category of Long/Short European Equity Funds, and achieved a Guinness World Record for the highest return (2092%) by a hedge fund in 1999. He is a seed investor and founding shareholder of several hedge fund management companies, including New Finance, Harmony Management and Libra. Giuseppe has also worked with BNP, Lazard and Morgan Stanley. He has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Rome and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is a member of the Board of Overseers of Columbia Business School.
Joan Beck
Joan focuses on discovering potential hedge fund partners. He has had a distinguished career in investment banking, starting with CSFB as the head of primary debt and equity capital market activities, where he became Deputy Chairman. Before that, he ran the New Issue business at Merrill Lynch Europe and Morgan Stanley International. Joan was a Vice Chairman of HSBC Investment Bank and is the non-executive Chairman of the European Securities Forum and serves on several boards. He has an MBA from Insead.
